• The Big Banana has a Sky Walk over the plantation, a multimedia theatre experience (The World of Bananas) and Australia’s first three-story-high inflatable waterslide (The Banana Slip).
• Boambee Creek Reserve is popular with families as the water is shallow and there are great playground facilities. Boambee Headland is a great spot for whale watching.
• Dorrigo National Park is about an hour’s drive from Coffs Harbour. It’s a World Heritage Site with an excellent Rainforest Center, which has “touchy feely” displays of the park’s flora and fauna. The Skywalk is worth doing. It’s a wooden platform above the tree canopy with amazing views across the park.
