Located in Southern California, Santa Ana, is the second most densely populated city in Orange County and it has been ranked as the fourth safest city in the US. The area is dotted with many parks that provide ample recreation to the residents and visitors alike. Popular nearby destinations include the busy metropolis of Irvine, Anaheim and the renowned Disneyland. A number of coastal communities and beaches are easily accessible within a short distance to the south. They offer great opportunities for swimming, surfing, boating, shopping and dining.
Santa Ana is known for its range of interesting museums. The Bowers Museum of Cultural Art exhibits the art and artifacts of the indigenous people around the world. Discovery Science Center has numerous hands-on exhibits on display that can spark the natural curiosity in children. The Westfield Main Place is a one-stop mammoth store for all your shopping needs and a range of dining options to provide you with a pleasurable experience.
Santa Ana has rich cultural offerings as seen in the architecture of the downtown. A visit the Old County Courthouse should be on visitors list as it is an important National Landmark and now serves as a museum. The Howe-Waffle House stands testimony to the historic architecture of the early Victorian era.
